Thank you for taking the time to read what interests you in my blog. My name is Tom Hatton I was born and raised in Ireland, my father being Irish and my mother hails from the Netherlands.
From the earliest of times working in my father’s business I was completely taken by humankind and how they interacted with each other individually, in groups and how different groups perceived each other and the World. This fascination continued within the sporting realm of team dynamics, cohesion, attitude, preparedness and how this transferred into competitive endeavor.
My Bachelor’s in management brought me into the hospitality industry. This broadened and deepened my insights into human behavior and its overall complexity. My focus within this industry was that of the ‘customer journey’. We mapped out the interfaces and touch points commencing with the client’s travel consideration to their closing reflections. This was a complete study of guest needs and requirements and the quality of the responsiveness from the suppliers.
Having met Thomas Leonard (founder of the International Coach Federation and Coach U) in Dublin, I embarked on my coaching journey. Following from my basic coach training I continued to deepen my knowledge and capability through further studies in London and in Boulder Colorado. The concept of ontological coaching captured my attention in which I furthered my studies in this regard. Today, this is the bedrock of my coaching.
This blog focuses on “coaching to the human soul” which is the ontological shift in our overall ‘way of being’ and into a deeper relationship within ourselves, with each other, the World that we live in and dares to suggest connection to the ‘Imaginal World’.
This blog does not seek to provide answers (nor should it); it is hoped it catalyzes reflection and exploration with an invitation to invite a chink of light into ‘your way of being’.
